Well, folks tomorrow is the big day! We are being induced in the morning and are so excited for Grant’s arrival. God has been so good to us and I am quite thankful for my beautiful wife and son! Here is a look back at some of the pictures from our pregnancy.

Also, I decided to include an excerpt from my ‘letter to Grant’ that talks about his sweet mama.

“There is no coincidence in your arrival. Your mom and I have been praying for this day for some time now. At 16 years of age, I met the woman of my dreams and I could not be prouder to have her as my wife. Simply put, she is incredible. Her love is like no other and I know you two will always have a special bond. She is beautiful, smart, driven, and has such a compassionate heart. I can’t wait to see how similar the two of you are. When you become old enough to date, I hope you are able to find someone as special as she is.”

Matthew and I wanted to share our exciting news … we’re pregnant! Our sweet baby is due January 2, 2012 and we are beyond thrilled. Many thanks to our wonderful family and friends for all the love, prayers, and immense support. Our hearts are full and we both feel absolutely blessed. God has shown us so much grace and He has definitely taught us to be patient. Matthew and I are truly grateful. We are overjoyed and elated. We are completely and utterly in love with our precious miracle.

Matthew, Happy (early) Father’s Day. You’re going to be the best … just like your Daddy. I know he is so proud of you. Me and Baby love you forever and always.

Our Baltimore Trip!

I recently had the opportunity to travel to Baltimore, MD for the ACPA Conference representing Wofford College. It was a great trip and I enjoyed seeing several familiar faces. I was happy to have Vernice to come back to after many program sessions and socials. We were able to scope out the city and loved our short visit. Hopefully the chilly weather didn’t follow us back home. We are definitely ready for warmer temperatures! Cheers. We did it! We finally made time to sort through and edit pictures from our family vacation last month. Many thanks to Jessica for snapping several of us … you did great! [V]I love this that Matthew shot of the pier! It’s definitely going to be a 40 x 20 canvas wrap somewhere in this house!We celebrated our three year wedding anniversary on June 9th … we have been together for eleven years!

Happy New Year from the Hammetts! Can you believe it is 2010? This is going to be a wonderful year and Vernice and I are so excited about our upcoming weddings and photo shoots. We have some really cool stuff lined up for the year. Hammett Photography had such a positive year in 2009 and we’re going to take this week to look back on some of its highlights. Our Weekend in Atlanta

Vernice and I just got back from a long weekend in Atlanta, GA after attending an amazing workshop with the Professional Photographer’s of America. As we continue to grow our business and prepare for 2010, we knew this would be a great opportunity for us. The legendary Ann Monteith and Carol Andrews were our instructors and we learned so much from them. Clemson won their football game, I won my fantasy football this week and we kept the ball rolling as we headed to the Georgia Aquarium and the Coca-Cola Factory. What a wonderful weekend and I got to spend it with the love of my life. Here are a few shots from the aquarium and the Coca-Cola Factory. Cheers. [M]
