When two girls ‘fight’ over the same guy, it is presumed they are not the best of friends. Well, I’ve got a funny story …

It was seventh grade and I was madly in love with a boy named Chris. Naturally he was dating one of the prettiest girls at school, Erin. She was tall, blond, and popular. And I was way jealous. Of course, I was very happy when they broke up … and several months later, Chris and I started dating. Several days later … we broke up and he asked Erin back out. A few weeks later, Chris and I were yet again ‘going together.’ The vicious cycle finally ended when Chris moved away. It was one of God’s many blessings because, Erin and I became the best of friends. Don’t ask me how or why … but, we joke about it often. We’ve never fought over a guy since … and now we both have a man named Matt in our lives who truly makes us happy. Funny, huh?

We photographed Erin and Matt’s engagement portraits in beautiful Charlotte, NC. Matthew and I had a blast … and it was wonderful catching up with good friends. Take a look at some of our favorites from the shoot and leave us love! [V]

Oliver Turns One

We were excited to get an e-mail from Dawn several weeks ago asking if we would be available to photograph her son, Oliver’s 1 year birthday party. We could not wait to meet Oliver, his family and close friends. It was a fun morning at the park celebrating such a happy time. He seemed to really take everything in and enjoy himself.

Our Favorite Little Guy, Brenson

So, our nephew doesn’t need an introduction at this point … but, I can’t help it. HE IS THE SWEETEST, MOST ADORABLE BABY BOY IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD! Brenson’s growing up so fast. Before we know it, he’ll be saying ‘Uncle Kerm and Aunt Vern’ … and possibly asking how we got those names.

Kristen and Jason Engaged

We photographed Kristen and Jason’s engagement portraits a few weeks ago in downtown Rock Hill,SC. This was our first time seeing them since our initial wedding consultation, but it felt like we had known them for many years. We were also really excited about photographing them in such a beautiful little town.

Vernice and I are looking forward to their wedding day in October which they planned around the Clemson football schedule. Thanks, guys! We had the pleasure of photographing Amanda and Mikey’s beautiful summer wedding. The ceremony and reception was held at the picturesque Bird House in Inman, SC. Amanda and Mikey are the nicest couple ever and we had a wonderful time getting to know them.

The Wahlstrom Family

We photographed the Wahlstrom family a few weeks ago at Converse College here in Spartanburg. We shot a few family portraits and then told 2 year old Lily to go have some fun. One of our goals with each session is to allow the family to forget about us and our cameras and focus on each other. Particularly with kids, it’s always a joy to capture who they are in their early years. As we photographed Lily, we found ourselves all over the place trying to keep up with her. It’s safe to say that she had more energy than both of us combined!

We really appreciated our time with the Wahlstroms and I believe as you look through their pictures, you’ll see what a beautiful family they have. Here are a few of our favorites from their family session. Cheers [M]

Melissa’s Bridals

Our good friends Melissa and Wade tied the knot in Edenton, NC this past weekend (Congratulations again, you two!). We shot Melissa’s bridal portraits in Clemson, SC a few weeks ago and have been looking forward to posting several photographs for a while! It got up to 90 degrees during her photo shoot but, she stuck with it and was a real trooper. She was such a stunning bride and we can’t say enough positive things about her. I know this is an exciting week for her with the wedding this past Saturday and today being her birthday. From the Hammetts, we want to wish you a wonderful birthday, Mrs. Livingston! You are the best! [M]

Before Matthew and I take off for the much anticipated Perry-Livinsgston wedding weekend in North Carolina, we wanted to post Melissa and Wade’s engagement pictures. They are two of our very best friends and we are so excited to be photographing such a special time in their lives. We shot these at good ole Clemson University (GO TIGERS!) and had an absolute blast!
