Family Time

We got to work with the Upchurch/ Painter family recently and had a lot of fun capturing their time together. We always love a good family session. This group stuck it out with us and were real troopers even though it felt like it was 100 degrees outside. There were several times throughout the session where our eyes were burning from the sweat. South Carolina is known for its hot and humid weather in the fall. We were thankful it didn’t rain and even more thankful to photograph such a fun loving family.

Meet Maggie

Yup. She’s a princess! Matthew and I photographed Maggie a couple of weeks ago in Spartanburg. She was a little shy at first, but completely opened up to us after a while. She’s precious in every sense and we are very happy we got to meet this two year old cutie! Here are our favorites from that day. Enjoy! [V]

Oliver Turns One

We were excited to get an e-mail from Dawn several weeks ago asking if we would be available to photograph her son, Oliver’s 1 year birthday party. We could not wait to meet Oliver, his family and close friends. It was a fun morning at the park celebrating such a happy time. He seemed to really take everything in and enjoy himself.

Our Favorite Little Guy, Brenson

So, our nephew doesn’t need an introduction at this point … but, I can’t help it. HE IS THE SWEETEST, MOST ADORABLE BABY BOY IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD! Brenson’s growing up so fast. Before we know it, he’ll be saying ‘Uncle Kerm and Aunt Vern’ … and possibly asking how we got those names.

The Wahlstrom Family

We photographed the Wahlstrom family a few weeks ago at Converse College here in Spartanburg. We shot a few family portraits and then told 2 year old Lily to go have some fun. One of our goals with each session is to allow the family to forget about us and our cameras and focus on each other. Particularly with kids, it’s always a joy to capture who they are in their early years. As we photographed Lily, we found ourselves all over the place trying to keep up with her. It’s safe to say that she had more energy than both of us combined!

We really appreciated our time with the Wahlstroms and I believe as you look through their pictures, you’ll see what a beautiful family they have. Here are a few of our favorites from their family session. Cheers [M]

Miss Hayden … Age 2!

Hello and happy Wednesday!

It’s always so great when Matthew and I photograph Hayden. It’s hard to believe she’s already two years old! We were looking through our first photo shoot with her (which was a year ago) and WOW! … she’s grown up so much since then! But, as always … she is full of smiles and fun energy. Matthew and I often find ourselves in awe of her and are blessed to be able to capture her bubbly personality. These are several of our favorites of the lovely Miss Hayden. We started the photo shoot with Hayden and her very best friend, Ava. These two are a blast to photograph together … just look how sweet they are!

A Weekend in Boston

Vernice and I took a quick weekend trip to Boston to see the Dave Matthews Band and Willie Nelson at Fenway Park. While there, we had the opportunity to spend the day with her aunt and uncle. Vernice has traveled there before and this was my first trip to Boston. I must say that I was truly impressed with the city. The weather was mid-70′s with sunshine which was perfect. We have decided that we must go back more often. As we walked up and down the streets, we had so many photo shoot ideas. We are always thinking about photography…that’s just who we are! When we go back, we’ll have to schedule some type of photo session. So if you want your engagement portraits in Boston, just let us know!
