Happy and Thankful

It’s hard to believe we have already made it to Thanksgiving Day. It feels like each year goes by faster and faster. So what does that mean for us all? From time to time and especially on days like this, we have to pause and think about how blessed we are. What a wonderful year 2009 has been for us and we hope the same for you and your family. Vernice and I want to give all the glory to God, and thank our amazing friends and family for playing such a pivotal role in our lives.

We photographed the Mathis family over the weekend near downtown Spartanburg,SC. Matt and Jennifer just celebrated their 9 year wedding anniversary yesterday. Congrats to the both of you! Y’all are such a fun family!We photographed Tamela and Charles a couple days ago as it was their first photo session since they got married 4 years ago. High School Sweethearts in San Fran

As you all may know, Matthew and I traveled to San Francisco in July for our summer vacation. We booked a session with the wonderful Kate Harrison while on our trip. Here are our favorites … although, it was truly tough not to post every single picture on here!

Kate, thank you so much for everything! You have such a kind heart and uplifting spirit which are exemplified in your craft. We are big fans of your photography, but more so your passion to capture the good stuff. Until we meet again, old friend … cheers! [V]

Oliver Turns One

We were excited to get an e-mail from Dawn several weeks ago asking if we would be available to photograph her son, Oliver’s 1 year birthday party. We could not wait to meet Oliver, his family and close friends. It was a fun morning at the park celebrating such a happy time. He seemed to really take everything in and enjoy himself.

Our Favorite Little Guy, Brenson

So, our nephew doesn’t need an introduction at this point … but, I can’t help it. HE IS THE SWEETEST, MOST ADORABLE BABY BOY IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD! Brenson’s growing up so fast. Before we know it, he’ll be saying ‘Uncle Kerm and Aunt Vern’ … and possibly asking how we got those names.

The Wahlstrom Family

We photographed the Wahlstrom family a few weeks ago at Converse College here in Spartanburg. We shot a few family portraits and then told 2 year old Lily to go have some fun. One of our goals with each session is to allow the family to forget about us and our cameras and focus on each other. Particularly with kids, it’s always a joy to capture who they are in their early years. As we photographed Lily, we found ourselves all over the place trying to keep up with her. It’s safe to say that she had more energy than both of us combined!

We really appreciated our time with the Wahlstroms and I believe as you look through their pictures, you’ll see what a beautiful family they have. Here are a few of our favorites from their family session. Cheers [M]

Miss Hayden … Age 2!

Hello and happy Wednesday!

It’s always so great when Matthew and I photograph Hayden. It’s hard to believe she’s already two years old! We were looking through our first photo shoot with her (which was a year ago) and WOW! … she’s grown up so much since then! But, as always … she is full of smiles and fun energy. Matthew and I often find ourselves in awe of her and are blessed to be able to capture her bubbly personality. These are several of our favorites of the lovely Miss Hayden. We started the photo shoot with Hayden and her very best friend, Ava. These two are a blast to photograph together … just look how sweet they are!

The Blanton Family

Talk about a good looking family! Matthew and I had a wonderful time photographing the Blantons … especially because of their two BEAUTIFUL twin boys, Trenton and Trevor. We strolled around Wofford College on a gorgeous spring Saturday and just had a fun photo shoot.
