So it has been a little while since Vernice and I have blogged. We had a wonderful Christmas and we hope you did as well. We are excited about today’s blog post, because we had such a great time photographing Ashley and Grant’s engagement session. As we were planning where to photograph their engagement portraits, Ashley talked a good deal about their love for the lake. With any session, we want our clients to have their images taken at a place that means something to them, so this was an easy one. We headed to Lake Greenwood. As it turns out, we got lost on the way and came really close to running out of gas. I think we said about 55 prayers on the way hoping we could find a gas station. When you get into the country, you quickly learn that there are not very many gas stations open on a Sunday morning! Well, thank goodness we were able to find one and make it to see this lovely couple.
These two met on the campus of Lander University and have been in love ever since. It is always exciting photographing couples that are truly best friends. They are fun together and they make each other laugh. We had a blast with them and we’re excited to share a few of our favorites. We hope you enjoy! Cheers. [M]

I love this shot Vernice took of them fishing.

Hammett Photography has worked on a yacht, but this is the first time we have photographed on a speed boat. Fun stuff!

We love this shot.
Ashley and Grant: Thank you for everything and we can’t wait to photograph your wedding in March!

GREAT shots, as usual. What a sweet couple. Can’t wait for the Hammett blogposts in 2010 and we’re already looking forward to our next shoot with ya’ll.
Happy New Year!
