April 13th marks the day both my mom and dad were born. I will first speak about my mom.  I want to wish her a happy birthday because she absolutely deserves it. She is one of the finest women I have ever met. She and I talk on the phone everyday.  We are very close and Vernice and I both cherish our relationship with her. We love you so much, Mama!

Next, I want to wish my dad a happy 60th as I know he is celebrating in heaven.  If I had to guess, I’d say he’s playing golf up there!

I know I have said it before, but family is important to us. It’s what we value. It’s what we love.  We are quite blessed. Cheers. [M]

Today was a really good day for the Hammetts. We kicked the day off  by attending church and then headed over to my mom’s house. From there we went next door to Papa and Mema’s house to celebrate Easter as well as my mom’s birthday (her birthday is tomorrow). We had a fun photo shoot of our baby nephew, Brenson! He is the greatest! From there, we headed to see Vernice’s parents. Today was simple…church and family. We like days like this!

We were feeling silly after church and so we snapped a few of ourselves with the 24 f1.4L II. We love that lens!
