I want to share with you all two very important people to us. I am speaking of our grandparents, David and Ramona Settle, better known to us as Papa and Mema. As I reflect on love and friendship, I can’t think of a better example than our grandparents. They have been married for 57 years. What an adventure 57 years of marriage must be like. Getting to wake up to your best friend and the love of your life for that long must be a true blessing. Putting God first, loving each other to its fullest, and trusting that hard work pays off, these two have lived quite a life.
I often refer to Papa as my hero. He is the type of man that I strive to be. His humility as well as his compassion for others separates him from most. He lives and loves with a pure heart and his wife, his angel, our grandmother is his true passion.
Mema is a special lady who is full of grace, love, and kindness. Her beauty is both inside and out, and it’s a privilege to know her. Her story is powerful. She met the man of her dreams when she was just 18 years old. Throughout all these years, for her, it was always him, our grandfather.
As you look through these portraits of our grandparents, you will see a beautiful couple and their timeless love. [M]

Priceless! How I wish I had similar photos of my grandparents…my grandfather died in 1979 and my grandmother in 1987. Your work is awesome!
